Manchester City have no interest in signing Liverpool winger Luis Diaz this summer, according to multiple reports.
The Citizens are believed to be exploring the market for potential reinforcements in the final few weeks of the summer transfer window following the £81m departure of Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid.
Alvarez contributed with 36 goals and 18 assists in 103 games and won a total of six trophies during a successful two-year spell with Man City, but he has opted to join Atletico in search of regular first-team football.
It is understood that Pep Guardiola's side will consider recruiting a new centre-midfielder as well as either a striker or wide forward before the window slams shut on September 2.
One surprise name who has recently been linked with Man City is Liverpool's Diaz, who has agreed a five-year contract with the Premier League champions according to El Chiringuito journalist Marcos Benito.

Man City have no interest in Luis Diaz
It is claimed that Man City have made a shock move to sign the Colombia international and are willing to pay €70m (£60m) to sign the winger from the Reds.
However, according to multiple reports, including one from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man City sources have indicated that there is no truth in such rumours linking them with a move for Diaz.
Man City sources deny that any agreement has been reached with the winger, who is not expected to move to the Etihad Stadium this summer, contrary to reports from Spain.
Diaz was briefly linked with the Citizens before he joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for an initial £37.5m plus £12.5m in add-ons.
The 26-year-old has since scored 24 goals and provided 13 assists in 98 appearances for the Reds across all competitions, including 13 strikes and five assists in 51 matches last season.

Diaz "very happy" at Liverpool amid transfer rumours
Diaz has been the subject of transfer speculation throughout this summer, with the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and clubs in Saudi Arabia all alleged to be interested in his services.
Indeed, Spanish reporter Pipe Sierra, via The Sun, claims that Barcelona have re-opened talks with Liverpool to sign the winger, who has been identified as an alternative to Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams.
However, Diaz has previously insisted that he is "very happy" at Liverpool and is "calm" about his future at Anfield, where he is under contract until June 2027.
Diaz has been involved in Arne Slot's squad during pre-season and is expected to feature in Liverpool's Premier League opener away against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
