Al-Ittihad are making a strong push to sign Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah before the end of the transfer window, according to a report.

Al-Ittihad are reportedly preparing to 'go all out' in a bid to sign Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah, with the Egyptian potentially being offered the chance to become the highest-paid player in Saudi Arabia.

Salah, 31, made the move to Liverpool from Roma in July 2017, and he has enjoyed a hugely successful spell with the Reds, scoring 187 goals and registering 80 assists in 307 appearances.

The forward is already off the mark in terms of the new season, scoring in his side's 3-1 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, while he provided the assist for Luis Diaz to register in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on the opening weekend of the new campaign.

Salah penned a new deal with Liverpool last July, and his agent Ramy Abbas Issa recently denied that the attacker could be on the move this summer.

"If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC," the representative posted on Twitter.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Al-Ittihad are refusing to give up on a deal and are preparing to accelerate their interest in the Egypt international.

The report claims that Liverpool are firmly against a sale, but Salah would be interested in listening to what would be on offer if he moved to Saudi Arabia.

According to the Daily Mail, Al-Ittihad would be prepared to make Salah the highest-paid player in the Saudi Pro League ahead of potential new teammate Karim Benzema and Al-Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Relevo in Spain claim that representatives from the Saudi outfit have already met with Salah's entourage to discuss a move before the end of the transfer window.

Al-Ittihad are the reigning Saudi Pro League champions, finishing five points clear of second-placed Al-Nassr at the top of the standings last season.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have also started this season in impressive fashion, winning their opening two league games against Al Raed and Al Tai to top the table.

Fabinho, N'Golo Kante and Benzema have famously joined the club this summer, in addition to Jota, although there is already speculation surrounding his future.

The Premier League's transfer window will close on September 1, but the Saudi Pro League deadline for new signings is not until September 7.

Salah has won the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and Community Shield during his time at Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp's side will not play in the Champions League this season following their fifth-placed finish in the 2022-23 Premier League.
