Liverpool have reportedly dismissed claims that Carlo Ancelotti has been contacted about the possibility of succeeding manager Brendan Rodgers.
Reports in Italy suggested that the Reds were interested in turning to former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Ancelotti if Rodgers does not turn things around soon.
The Reds are winless in five and lie 13th in the Premier League.
However, according to multiple reports this morning, Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are behind Rodgers and willing to give him more time.
The Reds face Carlisle United at home this evening in the Capital One Cup third round, and the pressure will mount further on Rodgers if his side fail to see off League Two opposition.
