Mamadou Sakho urges Liverpool teammates to stay calm

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho urges his teammates to stay calm as they try to win their final two games in a bid to keep themselves in the hunt for the title.

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has insisted that he and his teammates need to stay focused after their Premier League title race took a hit last weekend.

The Merseyside outfit have to rely on Manchester City slipping up in their final three games after the Reds suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea at Anfield.

Despite the team's 11-match winning run coming to an end on Sunday, Sakho has insisted that the players remain positive ahead of their final two matches against Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.

"Everything is going well, we are fine," Sakho told the club's official website. "Everything is cool. We have to remain calm and relaxed.

"Like I said, everything is going well, even though we lost that game. But that defeat, it's in the past now, it's behind us. We now have to focus on what's ahead of us, meaning the next two games."

Liverpool are currently two points ahead of Chelsea at the top of the league table.
