Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that the team will still look to finish the season as strongly as possible following their goalless draw with West Ham.

Brendan Rodgers has said that Liverpool can still finish the current Premier League season on a high, despite being held to a draw by West Ham United earlier today.

The goalless draw means that the Anfield side have won just one of their last three games in the league, leaving them three points behind Merseyside rivals Everton in the table.

Speaking at a post-match press conference, Rodgers said: "Our aims were simple, really, they were just to finish as high as possible.

"The aims are still very much the same, finish the season strongly with confidence, keep performing well and see where it takes us in the league knowing it gives us a real good start point for the summer.

"For us, it was a case of looking to get three points to keep us moving forward. We didn't do that, we'll have to take a point."

Liverpool sit seventh in the Premier League table.
