Brendan Rodgers highlights Cardiff City's aerial ability

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers talks up Cardiff City's aerial threat ahead of the meeting this afternoon.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has said that he is paying particular attention to Cardiff City's aerial prowess when the teams meet this afternoon.

The Reds travel to the Cardiff City Stadium looking to close the gap on Premier League leaders Chelsea, and the Northern Irishman said that he has identified the Welsh's side number of headed goals this term.

As many as 30% of Cardiff's goals have come from headers, and the Reds boss told reporters: "They'll certainly be an aerial threat, particularly from set pieces.

"Steven Caulker is a young player I know very well. He's their captain, I had him at Swansea with me for a year and he's fantastic in the air; he's got a great leap, he's very powerful and strong, so we'll have to pay attention to that [statistic].

"Preparations haven't changed. We're obviously coming into the game on the back of a very good victory at Old Trafford, but our work this week has been about focusing on Cardiff."
