Liverpool will contemplate sending Andy Carroll out on loan in the summer as they look to freshen up the squad.
Kenny Dalglish is thought to be looking to sign up to five new players when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the season. The Reds have managed just 40 goals in the Premier League so far and will target that area for improvement, according to The Metro.
£35m Carroll, who was nearly offered out on loan in January, has scored two crucial goals in his last three games yet this may not be enough to keep him at Anfield for the start of next season.
As well as Carroll, Hamburg target Dirk Kuyt will be allowed to leave the club with the Reds also willing to let Daniel Pacheco find a permanent move away.
Liverpool will try to sign a new world-class striker to partner Luis Suarez in attack and have targeted Valencia's Roberto Soldado, Athletic Bilbao's Fernando Llorente and FC Groningen's David Texeira as possible options.
The Reds will compete in the FA Cup final in May but currently languish in eighth place in the Premier League.
