Joleon Lescott "bitterly disappointed" by defeat

West Bromwich Albion defender Joleon Lescott admits that he is "bitterly disappointed" by the team's defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League.

Joleon Lescott has said that he is "bitterly disappointed" by West Bromwich Albion's defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League yesterday.

A Saido Berahino penalty helped the visitors come from a goal down at Anfield, but Jordan Henderson scored the winner for Brendan Rodgers's side.

The defender told the club's website: "We gave Liverpool a very difficult game. We were well organised and we gave a very good account of ourselves.

"We showed that we are capable of causing problems to the big teams. We are bitterly disappointed with the result. However, coming away from Anfield having lost is not a disgrace."

The result has left West Brom 13th in the table.
