Alan Irvine disappointed with West Bromwich Albion performance

Alan Irvine says he was disappointed with West Bromwich Albion's performance against Liverpool following their draw on Saturday.

West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Irvine has expressed his disappointment at his side's performance following their 2-1 loss against Liverpool on Saturday.

Saido Berahino's penalty had given West Brom hope after Adam Lallana's opener, but Jordan Henderson eventually secured all three points for the Reds.

After the game, Irvine told reporters: "I was disappointed in how we used the ball in the first half. I was disappointed we didn't show enough courage on the ball.

"I challenged the players to be braver at half time and in the second half we gave Liverpool a difficult game.

"From our point of view, we've got a few things we're disappointed with."

Next up for West Brom is a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
