Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has questioned how Raheem Sterling can show his face in training after reports emerged claiming that the youngster is determined to leave Anfield.
It is believed that the England international will hold a meeting with manager Brendan Rodgers on Friday to inform the boss that he will not sign a new contract.
Some reports have stated that Sterling, who has two years remaining on his current terms, feels bullied into committing to a new deal and is upset that the club did not protect him from the recent negative headlines about him.
On last night's Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Carragher urged Sterling to keep his "mouth shut" and slammed the youngster's camp for leaking stories.
"How does he got into training tomorrow?" said Carragher. "I'd be embarrassed to show my face. I wouldn't want to speak to the other players, the coaching staff, or the woman on reception. You're talking like you don't want to be there - it's a family at Liverpool."
Sterling, who has been linked to Arsenal and Manchester City, rejected a £100,000-a-week offer from Liverpool earlier this season.
