Daniel Agger confirms four-week layoff with calf injury

Daniel Agger confirms that he will be out of action for four weeks with a calf injury.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has confirmed that he will be sidelined for one month with a calf injury.

The Danish international had been expected to be ruled out for a period of four weeks after picking up the injury in the Reds' 2-0 win over Oldham Athletic.

Agger wrote on Twitter: "Disappointed with my injury! But I hope to be back strong within 4 weeks! Thanks for all the supporting tweets. ynwa."

The 29-year-old has also claimed that he is not considering leaving Liverpool this month, despite a lack of playing time.
