Xherdan Shaqiri 'in advanced talks over Liverpool exit'

Liverpool have reportedly made progress in their bid to cash in on winger Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.

The Switzerland international has made just 19 starts and 23 substitute outings in all competitions since signing from Stoke City in 2018.

Despite impressing against Lincoln City in the EFL Cup last week, Shaqiri is free to leave Anfield for the right price after the arrival of Diogo Jota.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the 28-year-old missed out against Arsenal on Thursday night due to substantial interest from two clubs.

Manager Jurgen Klopp acknowledged after the game that there had been developments behind the scenes regarding the player's future.

Liverpool allegedly value Shaqiri in the region of £20m.



Leeds United to move for Liverpool youngster Yasser Larouci?

Liverpool youngster Yasser Larouci has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Leeds United.

While the 19-year-old has been provided with opportunities during pre-season fixtures, his sole competitive start for Liverpool came during an FA Cup tie with Shrewsbury Town last season.

The youngster now has less than a year remaining on his contract at Anfield, leaving Jurgen Klopp to make a decision regarding the Frenchman's future.

According to The Mirror, Leeds are keen to agree a deal with the Premier League champions over the next 48 hours.

Marcelo Bielsa is open to parting ways with Barry Douglas, a development which would free up space for a new arrival at left-back.

The Argentine has already brought in a mix of prospects and experienced players since the club earned promotion to the Premier League.
