Liverpool teen Harry Wilson has claimed that he is targeting a spot in the Wales team for next summer's European Championships in France.
The 18-year-old has impressed at Under-21 level, having scored in last week's victory over Armenia in a Euro U21 2017 qualifier.
Wilson has already made his senior debut, becoming the youngest international in Welsh history in 2013, but he faces a fight to reach the squad next year.
"I think it has to be an aim," the Liverpool Echo quotes Wilson as saying. "The first team have done fantastic to get to France next summer but I think we concentrate on playing well.
"If you're playing well and putting in good performances it gives you the best chance to be on that plane."
Wales's progression into next summer's finals is the first time that the nation have qualified for a major tournament since 1958.
