Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson could begin training next week

Jurgen Klopp reveals that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson could begin training next week after spending three months out with a broken foot.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that captain Jordan Henderson could return to training next week after spending three months on the sidelines.

The England international, who was named club skipper following Steven Gerrard's departure in the summer, broke a bone in his foot during a training session.

The midfielder has made just two appearances this season, but could be closing in on a return.

In this afternoon's press conference, Klopp told reporters: "He is in a really good way. Maybe [begin] part training next week."

Meanwhile, the German coach is yet to decide on whether to start Daniel Sturridge against Manchester City on Saturday after the striker declared himself fit after six weeks out.
