Lincoln City will play their final home match of 2021 on Sunday when they host MK Dons at Sincil Bank Stadium.

The Imps are winless in seven consecutive games played in all competitions, two points above the League One relegation line, while the Dons have won two of their previous four league fixtures played away from home.

League leaders Rotherham United will travel to the Crown Ground on Boxing Day in order to face Accrington Stanley as they aim to continue their five-match winning streak.

The hosts were able pick up three points in their most recent outing and they currently sit in the top half of the table as the squad continues to push towards the playoffs.

This promises to be a closely fought match on Boxing Day for the fans between two of the strongest teams in the league, with both having a lot to fight for.

However, the lack of goals that Accrington Stanley have scored this season is something that should lead to Rotherham United taking the victory.

Cheltenham vs. Plymouth (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Without a win since November, mid-table Cheltenham Town welcome promotion chasers Plymouth Argyle to Whaddon Road on Boxing Day round.

The sides' penultimate fixture of 2021 sees the hosts seeking to halt a worrying decline in form, while their West Country visitors have also faltered recently but remain in the mix for a League One playoff place.

The combination of Cheltenham's ongoing frailties at the back and a Plymouth side buoyed by their first win under new management means that the visitors should come away with maximum points from this Boxing Day contest.

If they can get ahead in the first half, then the ambitious Pilgrims will not be hauled back by their faltering hosts.

Fleetwood vs. Shrewsbury (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Both Fleetwood Town and Shrewsbury Town can put a little distance between themselves and the relegation zone when they face each other in League One action on Boxing Day from Highbury Stadium.

The Cod Army picked up just their second point away from home in their previous three matches, drawing Morecambe 0-0, while the Shrews were able to end a two-game losing streak with a convincing 3-1 win over Cheltenham Town.

We say: Fleetwood Town 1-0 Shrewsbury Town

As well as The Shrews performed last weekend when they were down a man, it is too early to tell if they have turned the corner based on one match, whereas Fleetwood have shown much more consistency since the appointment of Crainey.
