Report: Leicester City want Benfica and Morocco winger Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez

Premier League champions Leicester City are reportedly keen on bringing Benfica winger Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez to the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City have expressed an interest in bringing Benfica winger Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez to the King Power Stadium, according to reports.

Despite notching three goals and seven assists in 29 games at the Lisbon club last season, the 26-year-old has reportedly fallen out of favour and is looking to leave the Estadio da Luz.

Portuguese daily newspaper Record claims that the Premier League champions are one of three clubs to have shown an interest in Carcela-Gonzalez, who has Champions League experience.

Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven and Belgian side Standard Liege, who sold Carcela-Gonzalez to Benfica for £2m last summer, are also said to have cast an eye on the Moroccan international.
