Leicester City are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare for a reported £23m.
The 22-year-old has been on Leicester's radar for a few months now and a deal to bring the France Under-21 international to the King Power is close to being finalised.
Soumare played a big part in helping Lille secure their first Ligue 1 title in 10 years during the last campaign, having made 32 league appearances for the club.
The Daily Mail reports that the Foxes are confident that they have secured an agreement with both Soumare and Lille, and the official announcement could potentially come this week.
Leicester had to fend off competition from Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and they were helped by the departure of senior players in Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs to reduce their wage bill.
Since arriving at Lille in 2017, Soumare has made 112 appearances for the club, scoring one goal and providing three assists from his deeper midfield role along the way.
