Leicester City boss Dean Smith will be looking to equal a Premier League unbeaten record when the Foxes face Everton at the King Power Stadium on Monday.

Leicester City manager Dean Smith will attempt to equal an unbeaten Premier League record when the Foxes face Everton on Monday.

Earlier this month, Smith replaced Brendan Rodgers as Leicester boss on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Smith's tenure began with a 3-1 away loss to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, but he has managed to avoid defeat in his last two matches.

After ending a nine-game winless league run with a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Foxes held Leeds United to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday thanks to a second-half equaliser from Jamie Vardy.

Leicester, who are currently languishing in 18th place, will move out of the drop zone if they can pick up at least a point against an Everton side that are also sitting in the bottom three.

Impressively, Smith has never lost any of his six Premier League meetings with Everton (W4, D2) during his managerial career, and another positive result would see him equal a record that is currently held by Antonio Conte.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss is the only manager to have faced Everton more times (7) in the Premier League without ending up on the losing side.

After beating Wolves in their most recent game at the King Power Stadium, Leicester have the chance to claim consecutive home victories in the league for the first time this season.

Having conceded in each of their last 18 Premier League matches, the Foxes will also be hoping to record their first clean sheet in the top flight since beating West Ham United 2-0 in November.

Leicester will go into the game without the services of Kelechi Iheanacho, Ricardo Pereira and Jannik Vestergaard due to injury issues.
