Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson eager for more attacking approach

Nigel Pearson is eager for Leicester City to go on the attack when they face Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has urged his side to be more fearless in attack ahead of their trip to Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The Tigers closed the gap between themselves and safety to seven points last Saturday with a goalless draw at home to 10-man Hull City.

Pearson admits that his players struggled to create chances against Hull, but he remains hopeful that they can adopt a more attacking approach at White Hart Lane.

"We took too long to get the ball into wide areas and that again is a disappointment because those are areas where we potentially should have caused them more problems, but didn't for whatever reason," he told the club's official website.

"Whether that's the lack of movement or because we didn't take enough chances in terms of finding them with the switch of play. But there we are. That's something for us to work on in the week and next weekend we've a very big game to look forward to."

Leicester have failed to win their last seven games in the Premier League.
