Christian Fuchs: 'Leicester City fully deserve Swansea City win'

Leicester City full-back Christian Fuchs believes that his side were fully deserving of their win at Swansea City, as the Foxes return to the top of the Premier League.

Leicester City full-back Christian Fuchs has suggested that his side were fully deserving of their win at Swansea City this afternoon.

The Foxes returned to the top of the Premier League table with a 3-0 victory at Swansea, thanks to a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick, and the Austrian international believes that his team could have played even better than they did.

"It sounds good, it feels good [to be top of the league]," Fuchs told Sky Sports News. "I think it was well deserved - we knew that it was gonna be a tough game, Swansea were playing very well at home, and we know that we'd have to fight against them.

"We could have scored more goals in the first half, but overall it was a good team effort and we're very happy for the three points."

Striker Jamie Vardy missed the chance to extend his Premier League record of goals scored in consecutive matches, but Fuchs insists that Leicester do not need to rely on the England international to score goals.

"If Jamie doesn't score then we have [Mahrez] of course, but we also have a few others on the field who can score goals," Fuchs added.

Leicester will take on Chelsea in their next Premier League fixture on December 14.
