Premier League club Leeds United are reportedly attempting to sign Rangers attacker Ryan Kent when his contract expires at Ibrox in the summer, with Burnley also keen.

Leeds United have reportedly made an approach to sign Ryan Kent from Rangers in the summer transfer window, with the winger's contract at Ibrox expiring at the end of this season.

The 26-year-old has been a key figure for the Scottish outfit over the past few years since his initial loan move from Liverpool in 2018 - a deal which was made permanent a year later for a fee of £7m.

Kent has appeared 25 times for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership so far this season, contributing three goals and seven assists in a side who are looking to chase down league-leaders Celtic in the remaining matches of the campaign.

With the attacker's current deal at Ibrox ending in the summer, Kent is free to have pre-contract discussions with potential suitors, and according to Football Insider, Premier League Leeds have been in contact with the player as they look to secure his services for the 2023-24 season.

Michael Beale's Rangers are said to be confident of striking a new deal with the former Liverpool man to keep him in Glasgow, however there are reports that the player's wage demands of around £50k-£60k per week are too high for the Scottish club.

Any possible switch to Elland Road for Kent is reported to be dependent on Leeds maintaining their Premier League status for next season, with Javi Gracia's men currently 17th in the league standings and sitting outside the bottom three on goal difference following a 1-0 defeat at Chelsea on Saturday.

The report also claims that Burnley of the Championship are keen on Kent and will attempt to lure him to Turf Moor this summer, an effort which depends largely on their ability to secure promotion to the Premier League under Vincent Kompany.
