Leeds United's deal to sign Helder Costa from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent basis will reportedly not be affected by the coronavirus shutdown.

The deal to take Helder Costa to Leeds United on a permanent basis will not be affected by the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report.

The 26-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Elland Road from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the two clubs have already agreed that the deal will be made permanent for £15m at the end of the campaign.

Question marks have arisen over the futures of players whose loan deals expire at the end of June, though, with the 2019-20 season now set to extend beyond then as a result of the shutdown.

However, Football Insider reports that Helder Costa will still become a permanent Leeds player on July 1, as initially planned.

The futures of Leeds' other loan players are less certain, though, with Jack Harrison, Ben White, Illan Meslier and Jean-Kevin Augustin only contracted to the club until June 30 as things stand.

Marcelo Bielsa's side also have the option to make some of those deals permanent, although negotiations are complicated by factors such as promotion-related clauses and the changing transfer plans of their parent clubs.
