Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has said that he expects Brazilian youngster Felipe Anderson to join the club in the summer.
The 19-year-old was on the verge of a move to the Stadio Olimpico during the recent transfer window, but the Albanian revealed that talks broke down over an issue with payment.
Premier League sides Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with the Santos star, but Tare is confident that he will move to the Italian capital.
"The desire of the player and ours is to take this negotiation forward and conclude it in the summer," the 39-year-old told La Lazio Siamo Noi.
"We did everything possible to sign him because he would have been the icing on the cake for us. We had an agreement and it should have ended positively.
"However, things then got complicated because his club and the fund who own 50% of his contract couldn't agree on how to split the fee. We had agreed a £7m fee plus 30% of any future sale amount, but the two parties could not reach a solution."
Anderson has three caps for the Brazil Under-20 side.
