Killie suffered a late defeat against Celtic last time out.

Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke has warned that Rangers are not the only team looking to make amends for a disappointing weekend.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard branded his side's approach to a goalless home draw against St Johnstone as unacceptable and has demanded a reaction in Wednesday's William Hill Scottish Cup fifth-round replay against Killie at Ibrox.

But Clarke believes his players are just as determined to bounce back from a last-gasp 1-0 defeat to Celtic.

When asked whether it was a dangerous time to play "wounded animal" Rangers, Clarke said: "Same as ourselves. We are wounded, we lost on Sunday. We don't like losing here at home.

"And normally we bounce back well from a bad result, so it should be a good game."

Gerrard has the major boost of getting Alfredo Morelos back from suspension after consecutive goalless draws without their top goalscorer, the first at Rugby Park.

But Clarke believes the possible return of centre-back Stuart Findlay could be just as important.

"I think Steven will be happy that he's got Morelos available for this game," Clarke said. "He's a terrific player, he's definitely a threat.

"I'm hopeful I will have Stuart Findlay back as well, who is also a terrific player and would give us more strength at the back. So hopefully they can cancel each other out."

Clarke's men have won three games against Rangers and suffered two defeats out of eight meetings since the former Chelsea defender took over.

And Killie midfielder Rory McKenzie insists there is genuine belief in the squad that the Ayrshire side can go all the way in the tournament.

The 25-year-old said: "Two or three years ago I would probably have sat here and said the same, which it probably wasn't going to happen.

"But now we have so much confidence in the team and individual players, we feel that if things go our way we could potentially win the cup."
