Juventus striker Alessandro Matri has confirmed his intention to stay in Turin, despite speculation linking the club with other strikers.
Matri said that the media talk of bringing in players shows a lack of respect to the strikeforce that has won two Serie A titles.
"I want to be a part of this group of strikers," he told the club's official website. "This constant talk of top players has somewhat overshadowed the great work of our attackers.
"Obviously you need the quality of champions to be able to win in Europe, but I think that after two Scudetto titles, people should give credit to those who have helped achieve them."
The 28-year-old has hit eight goals in 21 Serie A games this season.
