Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that a playmaker is top of his wishlist amid rumours that Schalke 04 ace Julian Draxler is bound for Turin.
Allegri is said to be keen on bolstering his creative options after losing Carlos Tevez to Boca Juniors, with Arturo Vidal also poised to join Bayern Munich.
Consequently, a move for Draxler has been mooted, and the Bianconeri coach did little to stem the tide of speculation by confirming that recruiting a trequarista is the priority.
"We need someone we can play between the lines [of the attack]," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. "The club are working on this.
"Right now we have to work with the squad that we have available to us. The club has worked very well this summer and now we're thinking only about our conditioning.
"But other players will arrive. The market is long."
Draxler, reportedly a former target of Arsenal, is contracted to the Bundesliga side until 2018.
