Juventus team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Porto

Sports Mole rounds up all of Juventus' latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League last-16 second leg with Porto on Tuesday.

Juventus will endeavour to overturn a 2-1 deficit from their Champions League last-16 first leg against Porto when they welcome the Portuguese powerhouses to Turin for the second leg on Tuesday evening.

The Portuguese champions firmly had one foot in the next round as Mehdi Taremi and Moussa Marega put them 2-0 up heading into the final 10 minutes, but Federico Chiesa bagged a vital away goal for Andrea Pirlo's men late on.

The injury-hit Bianconeri managed to warm up for this game in perfect fashion with a 3-1 triumph over Lazio on Saturday, as Alvaro Morata (2) and Adrien Rabiot both made the net ripple on the night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Juventus' latest injury and suspension news ahead of the second leg.

Possible return date: Unknown

Juventus announced on Thursday that midfield lynchpin Rodrigo Bentancur had returned a positive coronavirus test, and the Uruguayan will play no part in the second leg as he self-isolates.

Leonardo Bonucci returned to action off the bench against Lazio, but Matthijs de Ligt missed out despite previous optimism over his availability. Pirlo conceded that the former Ajax man did not take part in team training before Saturday's win, and Pirlo has conceded that he will not be ready for the second leg.

Paulo Dybala

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Paulo Dybala has endured a truly miserable time with injuries this season and has not taken to the pitch since coming off against Sassuolo in January. A recent report claimed that the Argentine travelled to Austria earlier this week for a consultation on his knee, and he will not be ready to return this week.

Giorgio Chiellini

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: March 9 (vs. Porto)

Veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini started in the first-leg defeat but had to be forced off after 35 minutes with a minor calf problem. The 36-year-old is not nursing anything serious, but he was not given the green light to play at the weekend and it remains to be seen if Pirlo will risk him this week.
