Aston Villa interested in Ipswich Town left-back Jonas Knudsen?

Aston Villa are reportedly eyeing a deal for Ipswich Town left-back Jonas Knudsen.

The Denmark international, who represented his nation at this summer's World Cup in Russia, is entering the final year of his contract at Portman Road.

Knudsen started in the Blues' opening Championship fixture on Saturday against Blackburn Rovers, a game which ended in a 2-2 draw.

According to the Ipswich Star, the 25-year-old could still leave the club before the transfer window closes on Thursday, with Villa Park being the most likely destination for the defender.

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe rejoined Villa on loan this week, although manager Steve Bruce will continue to look for more defensive options.
