Ipswich Town have completed deals to bring Paul Taylor and Daryl Murphy to Portman Road.

Taylor has joined the club from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee while Murphy has penned a season-long loan deal from Celtic, and both players were delighted with their moves.

Taylor told the club's official website: "I feel ready for the challenge here and this is a great move for me."

Murphy added: "All over the summer, I was hoping something would get sorted for me to come back here and thankfully, that has happened now."

However, Ipswich were unable to tie up the signing of Taylor's teammate at Peterborough, George Boyd.
