Ibrahima Sonko joins Jimmy Bullard and Daryl Murphy at Ipswich Town.

Ibrahima Sonko has signed a one-year contract with Championship side Ipswich Town.

The 30-year-old defender had been without club since being released by Stoke City at the end of last season.

After coming through a behind closed doors friendly against Colchester United earlier this week, Sonko agreed terms with Town manager Paul Jewell and has been named in the squad to face Leeds United at Portman Road tomorrow.

The addition of Sonko has followed the recent signings of Jimmy Bullard and Daryl Murphy.

Sonko has been handed the number 31 shirt, while Bullard and Murphy have taken numbers 21 and 27 respectively.
