Ipswich Town defender Tommy Smith has admitted that he is delighted to have committed his future to the club until 2016.
Smith was a regular fixture in the Ipswich defence throughout the 2012-13 season, and the New Zealand international has revealed that he is grateful for the club retaining their faith in him.
The 23-year-old told Ipswich Player: "I'm delighted to extend my stay at Town. It's great that the club have shown loyalty with me and that I've shown my loyalty to the club as well.
"I've been here since I was 16 years-old and I love the club. Hopefully I can be here for a few more years to come and we can be successful."
Smith has made 102 league appearances for the Tractor Boys.
