Ipswich Town striker Jason Scotland reveals that he is just two starting appearances away from earning a new contract with the club.

Jason Scotland has revealed that he is two more starting appearances from earning a new contract with Ipswich Town.

However, despite being so close to triggering a clause in his current deal, the 33-year-old is unsure whether or not the Tractor Boys want to retain his services.

"I have not had any more talks about my future and everyone knows that if I start two more games I get an automatic new deal," Scotland told the East Anglian Daily Times.

"My future is in the hands of the club but I am just trying to enjoy it and whenever I get the chance, take it and stay in the team."

Scotland joined Ipswich in 2010 from Wigan Athletic.
