Ipswich Town fight back from two goals down to claim all three points away at Barnsley this evening.

Ipswich Town overhauled a two-goal deficit to claim all three points at Oakwell and ease some of the pressure on manager Paul Jewell in the process.

Hosts Barnsley looked to have secured the win before the break courtesy of a penalty by Craig Davies - awarded after Ipswich goalkeeper David Stockdale brought down Daniel Drinkwater - and a headed effort by Ricardo Vaz Te.

However, within four minutes of the restart Keith Andrews struck twice to draw visiting Town level.

Jewell's side edged themselves in front in the 66th minute through defender Danny Collins, who leapt highest to head past Luke Steele in goal.

Just two minutes later Ipswich opened up their own two-goal advantage when Michael Chopra ended his recent baron spell by scoring from a tight angle with the aid of the upright.

Striker Jason Scotland made sure of the victory eight minutes from time when he guided Aaron Cresswell's cross beyond the wrong-footed Steele.

There was still time for the home side to grab a late consolation through Davies, who claimed his second of the night from a direct free kick.

The win has ended Ipswich's run of seven consecutive defeats.
