Tyrone Mings hoping to take Ipswich Town to Premier League

Tyrone Mings insists that he is desperate to help Ipswich Town reach the Premier League after the club resisted the urge to sell him this summer.

Tyrone Mings has quickly turned his attention to securing promotion this season after defying speculation to remain with Ipswich Town this summer.

The 21-year-old defender was repeatedly linked with a move to Crystal Palace before the transfer deadline, but after declaring himself happy to stay at Portman Road, he has now revealed that the target is to reach the Premier League.

"I've obviously only been in the game a short while and things have gone well for me at Ipswich," Mings told the club's website. "I'm certainly very happy and I'm looking forward to the future here.

"I want to help the club reach the Premier League. That's the goal for me and everyone else here."

Ipswich return to Championship action against Millwall next Saturday.
