Ipswich Town eye Jonathan Williams return?

A report claims that Crystal Palace midfielder Jonathan Williams is a loan target of Ipswich Town.

Ipswich Town have reportedly held initial discussions with Crystal Palace regarding the loan signing of Jonathan Williams.

The 20-year-old impressed during a temporary stint with the Tractor Boys last season, but he has since returned to Selhurst Park.

However, with the loan window due to open shortly, Ipswich have approached their Premier League counterparts in the hope that the Wales international can return for a second spell at Portman Road, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

Williams scored one goal during his 12 appearances for Ipswich, who are also thought to be close to agreeing terms with free agent Jack Collison following his release by West Ham United earlier this summer.
