Scottish Premiership Roundup: Inverness Caledonian Thistle stay top

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish Premiership action as Inverness stay top of the table, despite leaving it late against Kilmarnock.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle remain top of the Scottish Premiership this evening after they left it late to seal a 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

In a game of few chances, Aaron Doran rolled the ball into the net with 15 minutes remaining and Greg Tansey struck the post with a 25-yard strike that rebounded off Killie keeper Craig Sampson and into the net.

Hamilton Academical stayed second with a rout of managerless and pointless Ross County. Hamilton forward Mikael Antoine-Curier netted two penalties in between goals from Martin Canning and Jason Scotland.

Elsewhere, there were away wins for Dundee United and St Johnstone, while Aberdeen beat Partick Thistle 2-0. Nicky Low put the Dons in front from the edge of the box, followed by a goal for Niall McGinn.

Celtic, who did not play today, drop down to sixth place.

Results in full: Aberdeen 2-0 Partick Thistle, Hamilton 4-0 Ross County, Inverness 2-0 Kilmarnock, Motherwell 0-1 St Johnstone, St Mirren 0-3 Dundee United
