Scottish Premiership roundup: Resounding derby win for Partick Thistle

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish Premiership action as Partick Thistle hammer Inverness Caledonian Thistle, while Aberdeen are victors over Dundee United.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle blew the opportunity to move level on points with Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic by succumbing to a 4-0 drubbing at home to Partick Thistle.

Partick edged closer to mid-table security with Ryan Stevenson netting a brace in the first half. Gary Fraser and Conrad Balatoni were on target in the second to cap off a memorable derby for them.

Ross County moved off the bottom of the table with a 2-2 draw at Motherwell, with Tony Dingwall bagging an equaliser in stoppage time to deny Ian Baraclough victory in his first game in charge at Fir Park.

Aberdeen are now level on points with third-placed Dundee United after Adam Rooney netted a double in their 2-0 victory at Tannadice, while Hamilton Academical remain in fifth after seeing off Dundee 2-1.

St Johnstone are in sixth place, two points ahead of Kilmarnock after beating them 1-0 at Rugby Park thanks to a second-half strike from Brian Graham.

League leaders Celtic are in action on Sunday when they take on the basement club St Mirren.

Results in full: Dundee Utd 0-2 Aberdeen, Hamilton 2-1 Dundee, Inverness 0-4 Partick Thistle, Kilmarnock 0-1 St Johnstone, Motherwell 2-2 Ross County
