Hull City have completed the signing of Scotland midfielder Shaun Maloney from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire for an undisclosed fee.
The 32-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Tigers after playing just 14 times for Fire following a move to the US from Wigan Athletic in January.
The Scottish international becomes manager Steve Bruce's sixth signing of the season, adding to the permanent acquisitions of Sam Clucas, Ryan Taylor and Moses Odubajo and the loan arrivals of Arsenal duo Chuba Akpom and Isaac Hayden.
He told Chicago Fire's website: "This was a very difficult decision to make but one that I felt I needed to make for various reasons. Although my time at the club was brief, I feel very fortunate for the experience to play for the Chicago Fire."
Maloney is likely to go straight into the squad for the club's Championship game with Preston at the KC Stadium on Saturday.
