Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins has revealed that defender Jake Carroll has the potential to have a long-term future at the club.
The Championship club have signed the 21-year-old from St Patrick's Athletic for an undisclosed fee, and Robins believes that the full-back will settle in quickly at the John Smith's Stadium.
The 43-year-old told the club's official website: "He impressed me when he was here on trial. He is left-sided, quick, powerful and has a good attitude with an aptitude to learn quickly."
Carroll will join up with his new side at the start of next season.
