Mark Robins says that Huddersfield Town could have beaten Millwall by more than three goals in today's Championship clash at the John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins believes that his team could have won by more against Millwall at the John Smith's Stadium this afternoon.

The Terriers pulled three points clear of the Championship relegation zone thanks to a James Vaughan goal sandwiched between Jermaine Beckford's brace.

Robins said that his players have the ability to survive the drop but have failed to turn in performances worthy of their quality on a consistent basis this season.

"We could have won by more goals, but the performance was very pleasing," the club's official website quotes Robins as saying. "Once we got the goal, it settled us down and all of the finishes were excellent.

"Millwall were there for the taking today and we did exactly what we needed to do. Collectively we've not been able to put performances like that together often enough to get us away from trouble.

"I've always said we've got enough in our lockers to stay up, but we've still got two important games to go to make sure that happens. We've got to be ready for those and put performances in that are going to be good enough to ensure our league status for the next season."

The result sees Kenny Jackett's men just four points clear of the drop zone, but with two games in hand on their rivals.
