Wolfsburg into DFB-Pokal semi-finals with win over Hoffenheim

Wolfsburg reach the DFB Pokal semi-finals with a 3-2 victory over Hoffenheim.

Wolfsburg are through to the DFB Pokal semi-finals thanks to this evening's 3-1 victory over Hoffenheim.

Ricardo Rodriguez scored two of the visitors' goals but was also sent off with 20 minutes on the clock.

The Swiss defender put Wolfsburg in front from the penalty spot after Kevin de Bruyne had been fouled.

Roberto Firmino equalised for Hoffenheim but Wolfsburg were back in front before half time when Rodriguez again converted from 12 yards.

Wolfsburg opened up a two-goal advantage in the 64th minute when Bas Dost finished from Ivan Perisic's pass.

Rodriguez was then shown a second yellow card for time-wasting but it didn't affect Wolfsburg, who squeezed through despite a late goal from Firmino.
