Andre Schurrle: 'We have to seize the opportunity'

Germany forward Andre Schurrle feels that his side have to seize their chance to win the World Cup and end their 18-year drought for the title after reaching the semi-finals.

Germany forward Andre Schurrle believes that his side have to seize their chance to win the World Cup.

Die Mannschaft have reached their fourth semi-final in a row in the competition, but haven't won the tournament since 1990.

The Chelsea forward is determined to end that drought, and feels that if his side can play their best football they can achieve their ultimate goal.

Schurrle told reporters: "We have this feeling. We are really close and we all feel we have a big chance to win the World Cup. In the last few years we have come close in tournaments but now we want to win it.

"We want to go to the final and win the title; that was our goal from the beginning. It is going to be tough. But it doesn't matter who we play, we look at ourselves and how we play."

Joachim Low's side face Brazil in their semi-final clash in Belo Horizonte on Tuesday.
