Germany boss Joachim Low has described England and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy as "spectacular".
The 29-year-old could feature against the world champions in Saturday's international friendly in Berlin due to Wayne Rooney's absence.
Vardy has been a prominent figure in Leicester's Premier League title charge as he has netted 19 goals and helped them claim a five-point lead at the top of the table.
"We did watch him and he is a spectacular player," ESPN quotes Low as saying. "We did talk about him the last couple of days, not only him, but he is a player who is straightforward and is always looking to find the gap in the defence and get in behind the defence - That is where it hurts the most and I think that is one of his biggest qualities."
After playing Germany, the Three Lions will face the Netherlands in a friendly ahead of this summer's European Championships.
