Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes that Simon Mignolet earned Sunderland a point in the their Premier League clash at the Stadium of Light.

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes that Sunderland have Simon Mignolet to thank for their point following their clash in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Belgian international made a crucial save to deny Dimitar Berbatov giving the Cottagers a 3-1 lead in the game and seconds later Stephane Sessegnon struck an equaliser for the Black Cats.

Schwarzer told the club's official website: "That was the defining moment in the game. Mignolet did his job and he did it very well, he's a very good goalkeeper and has played very well this season.

"They've got him to thank for the point today because he made two very good saves in the second half in particular.

"It is definitely frustrating but before the game we would have definitely taken a point from this fixture."

Fulham are 10th in the Premier League following their draw at the Stadium of Light.
