Lewis Holtby: 'Felix Magath training is tough'

Lewis Holtby says that Felix Magath demands hard work from his players, but feels that his methods do produce results on the pitch.

Lewis Holtby has told his Fulham teammates that new manager Felix Magath will work them hard on the training pitch.

The former Bayern Munich boss replaced Rene Meulensteen on Friday evening, and Holtby, who worked under him during his time at Schalke 04, claims that Magath favours high-intensity training.

"I have never trained so hard as under Felix Magath. However, I profited from this very much at the beginning of my professional career," he told Bild.

Magath has also managed the likes of Wolfsburg and VfB Stuttgart.
