Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has said that he is pleased with his side's victory over Palermo away from home in Serie A.

Stevan Jovetic scored twice for the Viola as they won 3-0 at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on Saturday.

"I am satisfied because today was a show of strength," Montella told reporters. "My team played very well in the second half with great confidence and courage.

"This is a wonderful group and we have to maintain this attitude. It is a very happy period for Fiorentina.

"Jovetic is back in shape and he is a player who raises the quality level of our team."

Fiorentina will head into the winter break third in the league table with 35 points from 18 matches.
