Dirk Kuyt has signed a 12-month contract extension with Dutch club Feyenoord.
It had been claimed that the 35-year-old would seek pastures new this summer, despite scoring 19 times in 32 league games during the 2015-16 campaign.
However, the former Liverpool attacker has now agreed a new deal at the Eredivisie outfit, which will run until June 2017.
"I'm glad that I am staying at this great club for one more year. The squad put together a very good season which ended with the cup triumph. If you've won a trophy you want more and we should go into next season with this feeling. I am excited and confident," Kuyt told the club's official website.
In all, Kuyt managed 23 goals in 38 appearances for Feyenoord last season.
