West Bromwich Albion have reportedly opened discussions with Everton over the transfer of Victor Anichebe.
The 25-year-old was a regular for the Toffees towards the end of last season, but under new manager Roberto Martinez this term he has struggled to force his way into the starting lineup.
As a result, Everton are prepared to part with the Nigerian striker, which has alerted West Brom boss Steve Clarke, according to numerous reports.
However, further speculation has suggested that other Premier League clubs could yet join the race for the player's signature.
Anichebe arrived at Goodison Park as a trainee in 2003.
