Former Wigan Athletic defender Antolin Alcaraz reunites himself with Roberto Martinez at Everton.

Everton have completed the signing of free agent Antolin Alcaraz.

The Paraguayan centre-back had been available on a free transfer for a short period of time after he failed to agree a new contract with Wigan Athletic.

The 30-year-old has become the second player with Wigan connections to join up with their former manager Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park following the arrival of Arouna Kone yesterday.

Alcaraz has signed a two-year deal with the Toffees, having arrived in England from Club Brugge in 2010.
