Seamus Coleman ready for Everton run-in

Everton defender Seamus Coleman says that the team are ready to finish the season at full throttle as they hope to claim the final Champions League qualification spot.

Everton defender Seamus Coleman has said that the team are ready to end the season at full throttle as they bid to finish in the Premier League's top four.

The Toffees maintained their hopes of claiming the final Champions League qualification place with a 2-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, which moved them a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

Coleman believes that the team's fitness will stand them in good stead for their final three games of the season.

"We've got a lot of naturally fit lads and the manager has always said we'd peak around this point," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"You wouldn't have thought we'd played three games in a week. We're ready to keep at it until the end now and we still believe we can get fourth.

"The manager has always said that the way he works that we'd be fresh at this time of the season and I think we proved it against United."

Everton travel to Southampton on Saturday.
